I am genuinely sorry to see Rosendales, as it was initially configured, go out of business. The demise of Details is also quite lamentable. When the restaurant started out, there was nobody else with that level of ambition for a restaurant. I hoped that R's success would push the market to build on that and do better in the areas where R fell short. Obviously the economy played a role, but the restaurant's own practices significantly contributed.
