Hardcores on both sides won't change. </blockquote> Totally agreed on the movement -- the faithful have made up their minds -- though I suspect some far left, who have been holding out, Kucinich-style, for something more to their liking, may be settling for what they got. So I'm guessing there may be a little more pro on the left, but most of the movement should come in the middle. Why that's happening, though, is the interesting question. "Stockholm syndrome" is one possibility; another is that some people just like to be on the winning side, regardless of what it is. Another, maybe some subset of the public have been reacting negatively to the tone of the debate rather than the substance of it. (shrug) Doubt it'll continue on any sort of serious upward trajectory, or even last at this level. But I really doubt the popularity of health care will actually drop in the end.
