Favorites included the pierogies, vegetarian borscht, Siberian pelmeni and the pickles. </p><p>The restaurant was spacious and had more large-group seating than I expected. It was great to meet people over family-style and partake in the kermit-colored vodka that went well with everything. I liked the perogies as well - the onion topping totally made them. Good borscht, very good salads and pickles to start, loved the cabbage rolls... a staggering, almost embarrassing quantity of food that just kept coming, course after course after course, leaving me very surprised at the end that it only came to $30 a person including tax and tip.</p><p>Very pleasant people, too. The chef's smile when he came out and received a round of applause really lit up the room. And it was great to see so many CUers there -- both to meet some I hadn't met before (Shroud) and to welcome some others to the ilk (jenbach).</p><p>Sorry the rest of you guys couldn't make it. Will this fly with this group tonight?</p>
