As a former cold warrior I think it's important that we remember what those times were like. The wall fell one week after I left active duty and I remember feeling such immense relief. We knew the Soviet bloc was falling apart and were extremely concerned that the Soviets would try to hold things together by provoking some sort of patriotic conflict. The commemoration will include the construction and destruction of an actual “Berlin Wall” on the Wexner Plaza between Page Hall and the Wexner Center for the Arts. Students are invited to help with the building and decorating/graffiting of the wall.
