I'm not sure if they are still open but a quick google search brings up a place in Clintonville;
Vintage Fountain Pens & Repair
3481 N High St
Columbus, OH 43214
Here's the link
he may fix them, or know of someone who does, I'm gathering from the review.

also;
American Typewriter Co
in Delaware, Ohio
mentions they fix typewriters (including electric)
not sure if this business is still open.

hope that helps,
here's an article from the dispatch which is cute. Off topic on repair.
Although typewriter related

Thanks, I'll try these folks. I clipped out the DISPATCH article and pasted it in my journal when it appeared. I wonder if One Man's Treasure in Millersport does typewriter repair? I only buy from him when he has a booth at Comfest, but I may give him a call. Anyone know?

My portable Royal Royalite needs some TLC. I bought it at the Salvation Army for $.80 about eight years ago, and it has served me well. It has stood up well to my Pete Townshend typing style, but it has gotten a little slow of late. I've used Liquid Wrench, but it doesn't seem to help for long, so I think it needs a pro's touch. Are there any people in Columbus who work on manual typewriters?
