People have grown tired of the nu-rock and nu-metal that dominated rock formats in the 2000s (man that stuff sucked!). It also has to do with the car-dependent nature of Columbus. There are many other cities with more YPs, but with mass transit being more prominent, the usage of FM radio declines in favor of mobile. </p> <p>This then skews radio formats towards older and/or more working class audiences that like pop, country, talk, sports, and classic rock. The event is absolutely free and all are encouraged to attend.</p> <p>Sunday, May 19th, will be the first of three of these concerts.
