&#60;p&#62;Join museum docent and CSCC retired professor Anne Peterson for an in-depth, hour-long examination of Gentileschi's Bathsheba. Examine and discuss the painting in detail with other visitors, and learn more about Gentileschi and what the painting means to us today in the process. Free with admission. &#60;/p&#62;

&#60;p&#62;Columbus State faculty will present scholarship regarding the fuller corpus of Gentileschi's work, the history and role of female artists, and various themes in Gentileschi's works. The event is free and open to the public. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Roundtable discussion - Art as a Survivor's Toolkit:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;March 2, 2012, 10 a.m., at Columbus State Conference Center&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Related to Gentileschi's personal history, this informal roundtable discussion will discuss the arts as a vehicle to recovery and triumph. This session will include open discussions regarding art therapy, survivorship, literature, music and the visual arts. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Baroque Cantata Performance:&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;March 3, 2012, 2 p.m., at the Columbus Museum of Art&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The subject matter of Elizabeth Jacquet de la Guerre's rarely performed cantatas parallel the subject matter in many of Gentileschi's works. The solo cantatas will be performed by CSCC faculty member Elizabeth Scinto, staff member Katherine Peterson, and special employee Jennifer Dupuy. They will be accompanied by CSCC faculty member Rose Zuber. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The Triumph of Artemisia&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;March 3, 2012, 7 p.m., at Columbus State Conference Center&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;A multimedia music performance interweaving original songs, words and visuals. Linda M. Smith uses her music talent to bring the story of Gentileschi to life. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Art Book Club, led by curator Dominique Vasseur&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;March 11, 2012, 2 p.m., at the Columbus Museum of Art&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;CMA's Curator of European Art Dominique Vasseur will lead the discussion of Susan Vreeland's second novel, The Passion of Artemisia. This special edition of the Art Book Club is part of the Women's History Month partnership with Columbus State Community College. This book and other Art Book club selections are available in the Museum Store. Cost of the program is $5 (Free for Museum of Art members and Columbus State Community College students and faculty.)
