Massey’s, which opened its first store in Columbus in 1949, debuted its newest store in Grove City on July 1st. Massey’s Sports Bar & Grille, located at 4015 Parkmead Drive, is the quintessential sports bar, offering multiple screens, taps, and advantageous spots to catch your favorite game.

Everyone is welcome at Massey’s – so long as you love the Buckeyes, and don’t mind making friends. The atmosphere is just electric enough to keep you buzzed during the game, but is still a great option for kids, parents, and co-workers who want to enjoy each other’s company as much as what’s on the screen.

And there’s nothing better to set the mood than Massey’s classic Pepperoni Pizza. Each Massey’s pie is cooked in an old-world-style oven, and topped with an old-world sauce recipe that’s been the secret to their success for decades. There are 155 pepperoni on a 14″ pie, and theirs is a special, custom-made blend from Portofino you’ll only find there.

Fresh mozzarella and aged provolone, both from Sorrento, finish off the pie, and then it’s ready for the consuming. Fans swear they can taste the history in every bite, and 60 years is a long time pleasing the people.

This location of the local chain is the 10th in Ohio, but the first that’s a full-on sports bar. They open at 11am daily.

We know what really matters most at the end of every game day is whether or not our team won, but enjoying the victory is equally as important. There’s no need to sacrifice good food for an awesome game day experience, or vice versa, so try one of these spots on the big day, or any of the ones featured in the Football Foodie series.

    And, as always, Go Bucks!
