Five Stops for Holiday Hop 2011

The annual “Holiday Hop” edition of Gallery Hop takes place tonight from 4pm to 10pm in the Short North. In addition to the usual art gallery openings, special events and other promotions, there will be hot cocoa, Christmas lights and plenty of opportunities for holiday gift shopping. Here’s a couple of things to check out tonight:

1. Art – Stuff This! at Rivet

The fifth and final Stuff This! plush art show will take place at Rivet this month. Tonight’s opening takes place from 7pm to 10pm and includes snacks, beverages and a chance to mingle with some of the artists involved in this group show.

2. Shopping – Repertoire’s One Year Anniversary

Repertoire is celebrating one year of their store-within-a-store concept. This shoe shop is housed within clothing store Brigade, located at 607 North High Street. Their anniversary party starts at 7pm and will include local beer from Rockmill Brewery and music from DJ Abyss.

3. Dining – Backdoor Burritos

The brand new Backdoor Burritos opened yesterday and will be serving late night Mexican grub from the rear entrance at Da Levee (765 North High Street). They’re only open from Midnight to 3am, but if you’re out late, tonight would be a good chance to try them out.

4. Shopping – Sherrie Gallerie Art Jewelry Fair

The Sherrie Gallerie is hosting an Art Jewelry Fair from 1 to 8pm today. This event will feature products from Pomo Galaxy, Laine Bachman, Marilyn Parker and more.

5. Shopping – Big Rock Little Rooster

Big Rock Little Rooster is hosting a special Cocktails and Couture event tonight from 6pm to 9pm. The event will feature fashion from the Vera Wang 2012 collection, and accessories from Peace Love Bling.
