TOONS – Cartoons come to life with CSO at the Zoo

On Sunday, Sept. 17, some of the world’s most beloved cartoons will come to life with the help of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Peter Stafford Wilson. Guestswill experience the sounds of their favorite cartoon themes in a unique,family-friendly concert called “TOONS.” 
In addition to the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, the concert will feature the voice acting talents of YouTube sensation, Brian Hull. Brian is an online content creator and voice actor who first rose to fame with his YouTube video, “Disney and Pixar Sings ‘Let it Go,’” during which he sang the popular song from Disney’s “Frozen” while using the voices of 21 different Disney and Pixar characters. He has continued to build upon that success with his YouTube channel that has now received more than 70 million views and over half a million subscribers. Hull has also provided voiceovers for video games and films, andhe currently does the voice of Dracula from “Hotel Transylvania” for short films, theme park rides and commercials.
The performance will be held at the Water’s Edge Events Park at the Columbus Zoo. Gates will open at4:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 5 p.m. Prior to the event, free popcorn and meet and greet opportunities with some famous cartoon stars will be available.
The concert is the grand finale of the Zoo’s Cartoon Weekend celebration, which will feature meet and greets with cartoon characters from both past and present, including the PJ Masks, Scooby-Doo, SpongeBob SquarePants and more.
Tickets for the TOONS Concert are $25 for guests or $20 for Columbus Symphony Orchestra Subscribers or Zoo members. Children under the age of three do not require a ticket. Ticket price includes admission to the Zoo for the day of the concert so guests can enjoy all of the Cartoon Weekend events before the concert that Sunday.
