    Election Day Results: November 2014

    To no surprise, John Kasich was re-elected as Ohio’s Governor by a healthy margin today, beating opponents Ed FitzGerald and Anita Rios. Incumbents Mike DeWine, Josh Mandel, Dave Yost and Jon Husted also retained their seats as Attorney General, Treasurer, Auditor and Secretary of State, respectively.

    “It’s only halftime, Ohio, and the best is yet to come,” posted Kaisch on Twitter and Facebook this evening. “Thanks for placing your trust in our team.”

    “We didn’t choose to run in this race because it was easy, we got into it because of what we believe in, and we are proud that the campaign stuck true to its beliefs,” posted FitzGerald via Facebook. “We may not have won this election, but there is still much we all can and must do to protect the working families of this state. Thank you for all of your support.”

    US House Incumbents Joyce Beatty, Pat Tiberi and Steve Stivers all retained their seats.

    Columbus Charter Amendments 1, The cities of Delaware and Grandview Heights passed school levies, while New Albany rejected theirs. The municipalities of Westerville, Upper Arlington, Obetz and Minerva Park passed income tax increases. The Childrens Services Levy in Franklin County passed.
