By: Walker

From the fine folks who brought you Cafe Corner comes a new unique late-night dining service called “Eggs Breakfast Delivery” (website coming soon to LateNightEggs.com).

This new service will offer delivery seven days a week to Downtown, OSU, The Short North, Italian Village, Grandview, Clintonville, and the Victorian Village areas. Ordering can be placed online or over the phone (294-EGGS) and service hours run from 8pm to 3am. A perfect alternative to driving to the nearest late-night breakfast joint.

The menu includes classic american breakfast items, breakfast casseroles, quiche, french toast, breakfast burritos, and more. The full menu can be found here (PDF).

  • Thanks a ton for posting this menu while I’m browsing the site at 2 a.m. Now I’m really hungry….

  • Honestly, I’d rather have an old fashioned 24 hour diner made from a converted club car. Maybe it would doubly serve as a late-night hangout for the college crowd (I did the majority of my homework in a diner near my college campus) and as a reminder of the rail system we don’t have.

That being said, if their egg sandwiches are as good as they are at Cafe Corner, I’ll heavily consider them for a future munchie attack.

  • I will definitely be using this when I get back to school in the fall.

yay! something to look forward to!

  • F-ing brilliant idea.

I wonder how many people will order and then pass out before the food gets there! lol my only thought is that the hours would be a little better from say 10pm to 5am.

  • I’m just a little skeptical of delivered eggs…but I”ll still probably eat it.

Since it doesn’t say that they deliver to German Village, you may not be eating as much of it as you think…

 I’m pretty sad… I’d like delivered eggs.

  • my god this is dangerous.

I noticed that too, but it could have just been accidentally left off the draft copy of the menu. Cafe Corner delivers their menu to German Village, so I’d assume that they’d deliver these breakfast options as well.

I emailed Jon about it and will post his response when I hear something. Keep your fingers crossed. ;)

  • Thanks Walker!!

    LOL

Thought the same thing, Not that I would have ever done anything like that.

  • Here’s the response:

Jon wrote Delivery will probably go to some parts of G.V. to begin with. It’s something we will just have to gauge on the response to Eggs and the timeliness of deliveries. Cafe Corner delivers to German Village during the week from 11am-2pm using the We Deliver 2 You service.

  • I wish they delivered all day. I like Breakfast for lunch sometimes.

    Is this Awesome? Y/y

  • yeah, i hate cold eggs, and eggs get cold pretty quick. They’ll need a bad that does a great job at keeping them hot.

Cafe Corner has some great breakfast options you can get delivered for lunch:

  • EGGSCELLENT!! I’m so glad they decided to go forward with the idea despite so many skeptics on the board. I, for one, will order before/after I carry out from Park Street Tavern on the way home. I’m so psyched!!

Is there a delivery charge? Is this going thru We Deliver 2 You too?

  • Not to dis this place – but are people really so lazy/busy that they can’t make their own eggs? $3 for a dozen organic, local, free range eggs; 2 minutes to scramble/fry. No delivery charge, no greenhouse gas emissions from delivery. One pan to clean. You can totally do it yourself, even if you’re quite drunk (though probably not if you’re about to black out.)

    Really?

  • If I’ve been out all night drinking, I don’t think turning on the stove is the best idea. When I was in college we drove to get breakfast late night when we probably shouldn’t have been driving (not proud of that……) That being said, a late night breakfast delivery is a fantastic idea!!! Plus the menu looks awesome- I love the options. I think these guys have it right on! Plus to food at Cafe Corner is soooooo good so you know this will be good.

…I don’t think I can see myself making eggs, hash brown casserole, bacon, and biscuits and sausage gravy at 3:00 in the morning after a night of drinking…no.

    I’d spend the 8 bucks.

  • Yeah, it’s really more of a matter of convenience. People who are looking for breakfast that late at night aren’t usually in the mood to go home and cook.

Besides, if I were ordering from this service I don’t think I’d just want something as simple as scrambled eggs. Their casseroles sound great, which are much more time consuming to make, I’d imagine.
