Easy Street Cafe Closing German Village Location

George Stefanidis launched the Easy Street Cafe in German Village decades ago, and he’s ready to hang up the apron this weekend. The popular restaurant and bar opened in 1983 and will officially close tomorrow, February 25.

While the news may come as a shock to fans of the eatery, the restaurant has been through a series of evolutions over the past several years. A location was opened in Powell, which was later converted into Kraft House No. 5, and an Eastmoor location was launched in late 2015, which closed for renovations in late 2016 and is now listed for sale.

Stefanidis can still be found at this other south side venture, The Red Brick Tap & Grill, which opened in Merion Village in late 2013.
