Kaufman Development began leasing 600 Goodale at the beginning of February and has been very encouraged so far by the level of interest.

The five-story, 174-unit apartment building on the banks of the Olentangy River is currently under construction, and Kaufman hopes to have the first apartments completed and ready for tenants by June of this year. The majority of the building (about 70%) will be made up of one-bedroom units, which will start at $825. The floor plan options also include two- and three-bedroom units and a handful of larger penthouse units on the fifth floor.

Amenities within individual units include a washer/dryer, walk-in closets and stainless steel appliances, while the building will feature a second-floor terrace and courtyard, a swimming pool, and a parking garage with electric car charging stations. Kaufman is also promoting covered bike parking for those hoping to take advantage of the recently-announced bike improvements on Goodale.

CEO Brett Kaufman was very enthusiastic about the early response from potential tenants.

“It has been phenomenal and we expect to sell out the first phase by the weekend,” he said. “Perhaps even more encouraging has been the across the board interest, from our $825 units to our Penthouse units. We feel people are responding to the amenities, the location and the entire Kaufman philosophy of Inspired Living.”
