The folks at Delicacies by Sheri are busy installing seating and a coffee-and tea bar, which will turn the Beechwold confectioner — for now, carryout only — into a cafe with dozens of sweet ways to accompany caffeine.

For those willing to plan their indulgences, owner Sheri Deerhake is putting together two Valentine-inspired carryout packages.

One is based on dark chocolate, the other on white. Each $14 box has an attractively laid-out display. The dark chocolate assembly is centered on a 4-inch cake: either chocolate-raspberry fantasy cake or chocolate-raspberry red-velvet cake with raspberry sauce.

Also in the displays are two chocolate truffles (dark or white) and two chocolate-dipped strawberries (dark or white).
