This past weekend, Carmen Owens (of Surly Girl Saloon) and I hosted CupcakeCampColumbus at Surly Girl Saloon.

It was a magical couple of hours, full of slight chaos, pink frosting and sugar highs. Everyone left happy and full and the event came together so well that we’re already in the planning phase of the next one.

    Cupcakes….. lots of Cupcakes.  I missed them due to a wedding.  Looking forward to the next Cupcake Camp.  Also the event is noteworthy for the unveiling of the “Bacon is the New Black” slogan.  Columbus us on the fast track to become The Nations Capital on the Progressive uses of Bacon.

    Bacon…..not just for cupcakes anymore.

    While waiting for Cupcake Camp II – we have Podcamp in June and Bacon Camp in August (Wild Goose Creative – August 1st).

    Anne brought a few home for me to try. I don’t know the name, but the one with the little candied tangerine (i think) zest on top was pretty spectacular!
