The 4th Annual Creative Control Fest returns to Columbus September 11-12 at the historic Lincoln Theatre.
This year’s festival will feature headliner Piper Kerman, author of the Netflix adapted book ‘Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison’ and husband Larry Smith, originator of the popular concept Six-Word Memoirs.
“Creative Control Fest is designed to highlight young professional in the arts and inspire those to take an interest in learning more about the culture,” says co-founder Marshall Shorts. “The conference is an opportunity to network with top professionals in various creative fields and learn how you can enhance your career path.”
Other guest speakers include emcee Blueprint, graphic design guru Adrian Franks, and TEDx veteran Dr. Melissa Crum. The grassroots festival plans to showcase the Midwest’s ‘emerging creative class’ through lectures, networking, workshops, and concert.
