Cravings Carryout Cafe Looking for New Location

Cravings Carryout Cafe was one of the first of a new wave of businesses that opened in Italian Village over the past several years, and as of September 13th, they will no longer call 227 East Third Avenue their home. A message was posted on their website yesterday making a plea for assistance in finding a new location as quickly as possible, as their lease will not be renewed beyond September.

    CRAVINGS DESPARATELY NEEDS YOUR HELP!!

After almost 4 years in business, we received notification from our landlord, The New Victorians, that they will not be renewing our lease and we have to be out of the building by the end of September. We have not received any explanation as to the reason for this decision. Our last day in business on 3rd Avenue will be Sunday, September 13, in order to have time to remove all the equipment and have the space ready to turn in the keys. We need to find a new home as soon as humanly possible. We have spent the last week reaching out to realtors and other restaurant owners, but so far, we have not found anything that will work. Now, we are reaching out to you!

We are looking for a spot that is similar to what we have now to continue the same concept. Our dream would be to find a location that was previously a cafe/bakery/restaurant in order to make the move as seamless as possible and be closed for the least amount of time as possible. Please let us know of any idea that pops into your head. We are open to any neighborhood! We realize that realistically, we will have to move everything into storage for a bit while we find a space and sort out details, but we want to be back serving you all as soon as we can! We can’t imagine going more than a few weeks without seeing you guys!

When we reached out to The New Victorians owner Joe Armeni this morning, he declined on explaining the situation further.

“Cravings knows exactly why their lease was not renewed,” he stated via email. “It was completely caused by their actions.”
