The Ohio Craft Brew Festival is getting ready for its 10th year at the North Market this fall. In partnership with the Columbus Craft Beer Alliance (CCBA), the event showcases brews from Columbus and all over Ohio.
The event started with just six breweries in 2006 and is now up to 17.
“We’re proud to partner with North Market to craft a fantastic event that’s beneficial both to beer drinkers and brewers,” said CCBA co-founder Laura Oldham. “The North Market’s Ohio Craft Brew Festival is one of the original Columbus craft beer events, and we’re thrilled to play a role in continuing its success and innovation.
CCBA is home to Ohio’s breweries and aims to connect them with the growing crowds of craft brew enthusiasts in and around the area. They work with breweries like Four String, CBC, Seventh Son and others.
“This is the premiere craft brewing event in Ohio and now partnering with the highly respected CCBA, we believe the sky’s the limit. Patrons of the event will get to experience local favorites as well as hard to find out-of-town brews,” said Rick Harrison Wolfe, North Market Executive Director. “In addition, we have reformatted the event to stay ahead of the abundance of craft beer events that have popped up in recent years.”
Over the two-day event, attendees can sip on one of many craft beers from local breweries, check out the Saturday’s outdoor Farmers’ Market, and mingle around the food samples and live entertainment.
The Ohio Craft Brew Festival will run Friday and Saturday, Sept 23-24, during which market merchants will have extended hours.
