Council approves South Side amendment
Thursday, February 14, 2008
DAVID J. CROSS
Columbus City Council unanimously voted Monday to amend the city’s South Side Plan (84 page PDF) to include the remaining portion of Merion Village and Schumacher Place.
The initial plan, completed in 2002, included the southern part of Merion Village. With council’s vote, the remainder of Merion Village and Schumacher Place were brought into the fold, and as such can benefit from future plans for the South Side.
The original plan ended at Nursery Lane, said Bob Leighty, Merion Village Association president. Council member Maryellen O’Shaughnessy said the plan acts as a road map for the future of the area.

So,
In reading the article, I gathered that one of the recommendations was to rehab one of the existing spaces into either a Senior Center or an Artist live/work/performance space (which I could only assume is Artspace… Yes/no?
It didn’t seem like the planning commission committed to it, but, at least made the recommendation – SO….
Whats next for ArtSpace?
