COTA Adding WiFi on All Buses by End of 2017

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) wants to make your bus ride a little more pleasant of an experience. The organization announced yesterday that it has plans to add WiFi internet access to all of the buses in its fleet by the end of next year.

“Right now there are eight buses operating with the technology and all indications are that everything is working well,” said Marty Stutz, VP of Communications, Marketing and Customer Service at COTA. “Once the installation is underway on the entire fleet, we will evaluate service providers and options like speed (based on cost) and then determine whether we are able to offer WiFi for free.”

Whether or not the service is free, Stutz anticipates a rollout that will be completed by the end of 2017.
