    Cosí Closes All Columbus Locations

If you’ve got a craving for Cosí (the restaurant, not the science center) then you’re going to have to drive an hour and a half to Ada, Ohio to find the nearest one. The company closed up its three Columbus locations last week in Bexley, Worthington and at Easton, with other stores in other markets closing as well.

The closures come on the heels of the Boston-based company’s filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, according to an article published last Wednesday by BostonMagazine.com. The company hopes to turn its finances around through shuttering locations and reducing debt.

While the company has not issued a direct news release on the topic, they have taken to responding via social media about the closures. When one fan posted on Facebook that the closure impacted Columbus, Cosí Marketing Director Alexandra Dunk responded “We are very sad to leave the area.” When another fan posted on Twitter that he was sorry to see Cosí leave Easton, Dunk responded with “Thanks for the kind words! We will miss Columbus as well. Hope to see you at one of our other restaurants!”
