Summer has arrived, and the City of Columbus rapidly continues to transform with the addition of many new residents, businesses, infrastructure projects and other developments throughout the city. While some of those projects are being completed, others have just gotten started.  What that means is a lot of construction cranes are still dotting the landscape as new buildings grow upward in nearly every urban neighborhood throughout Columbus.

Below are descriptions of the various projects photographed with links to more information:

  • The Joseph - An 11-story hotel and six-story office building located in the Short North.
  • I-71/670 Redevelopment - Phase 1 of the “Split Fix” highway project Downtown.
  • The Mound Street Connector — Phase 2 of the I-70/71 Split Fix Project.
  • The Fireproof - A five-story 47-unit mixed-use apartment building at High & 2nd in the Short North.
  • The Julian - A residential redevelopment of a former warehouse at Front & Main, Downtown.
  • Battery B - A 56-unit apartment development at 6th and 2nd in Italian Village.
  • Jeffrey Park – The first apartment building in a larger 41-acre 1,350-unit residential project.
  • Riverfront Redevelopment - The removal of the Main Street Dam and creation of 33 acres of greenspace.
  • LC Riversouth - Two eight-story 100+ unit apartment buildings at High & Rich, Downtown.
  • 250 High – An 11-story mixed-use apartment/office/retail tower at High & Rich, Downtown.
  • 109 North Front – A City of Columbus office building is being demolished and replaced.
