Last night, the Columbus Historical Society celebrated the 200th birthday of The City of Columbus, in addition to celebrating the opening of their new exhibit space inside COSI. The event included live entertainment, cake, music and a viewing party for the new WOSU Neighborhoods: Downtown/Franklinton documentary.
Columbus Underground was also on hand to continue the tradition of handing out the Arch Award for the third consecutive year, which recognizes a modern day history maker. We had over 30 nominees this year, so the decision process was tough, but we were able to narrow it down to three finalists: Elizabeth Lessner, Stev Guyer and Miguel Perez. The winner was announced last night, and given to Elizabeth Lessner, co-founder of the Columbus Food League and co-owner of Eartha Limited. Elizabeth was recognized for her commitment to Downtown Columbus, green initiatives, small business advocacy, mentorship and civic responsibility.
Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth Lessner on this year’s award!

Congrats!
Super honored and humbled to be chosen among a group of such worthy people. Many thanks and love to everyone involved. While none of us work for the purpose of getting awards, the acknowledgment is really touching and very meaningful to me.
Go Liz go. :)
Absolutely the perfect recipient for this award. Congratulations!
