Condado Taqueria, originally a Short North staple and a recent Downtown addition, is opening its third Columbus location at Easton Town Center this May. It’ll be the fourth restaurant in 18 months after their location in Downtown Pittsburgh opens in early spring.
“We have been overwhelmed with the demand for Condado,” said Joe Kahn, Condado owner and proprietor, in a press release. “Our patrons are loving our atmosphere, house made and customizable tacos, wide variety of margaritas, and late night dining.”
Kahn said the new location will function and offer the same as the other locations, and although it won’t be identical, “there will be no mistaking that it is Condado.” As in its first two locations, Condado will use Finko Creative’s customized church pews, murals and decor with minor variations.
It’ll all occupy around 3,200 square feet of space, including a 500 square foot patio. Along with the aesthetic, ordering should be familiar for Condado Easton guests. They’ll get chips and queso, guacamole or salsa; from there they’ll build their tacos by picking from shell, protein, cheese, vegetable, salsa and sauce options. And to wash it down they’ll choose from an alcohol menu of 50 whiskeys, 50 tequilas, and 25 craft beers.
“Condado is a highly sought after Columbus-born Taqueria that we are thrilled to add to the mix here at Easton Town Center,” said Jennifer Peterson, Easton Chief Executive. “We expect our customers to embrace Condado just as they have our other locally developed concepts like Zest, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Celebrate Local, Homage, Northstar Cafe and more.”
Aimed at national expansion, Kahn said the move to Easton puts Condado in the perfect position. After opening the downtown Pittsburgh Condado, Condado Easton will open at 4077 Fenlon Square on May 5, coinciding with Cinco de Mayo.
