We are proud to announce that Columbus Underground will soon be launching a brand new monthly magazine called Columbus Underground Magazine (or CUM for short) aimed at the growing Young Professional demographic . “Its finally time”, said Columbus Underground founder Walker Evans. “Our goal has always been to make the jump from the blogosphere into the magazineosphere, and with current market conditions, the timing couldn’t be better.”
Last year when C-BUS Magazine ceased publication, it left a hole in the market just waiting to be filled. “Young professionals have gone almost a full year without any way of being updated on new places to eat or which bars are the best to be seen in”, continued Evans. “And with the economy in a downturn and jobs being lost, one of the first luxuries being cut is internet access. Where are YPs going to turn for their entertainment news? I’ll tell you! Free magazines available at select locations around the city, that’s where!”
The debut issue of CUM is expected to hit the newsstands later this week and will include featured articles on topics such as:
- Profiles of the best and hottest bartenders in Columbus
- A guide for the best cheap places to eat on a budget
- An event calendar giving you the scoop on what’s coming up this month
- A photo spread from the January Gallery Hop
- The ultimate Easton Shopping Guide
- A preview of the upcoming OSU Football Season
- And much much more!
Evans stated that future expansion plans include a new Columbus Underground Radio Station (WCUS), a Columbus Underground Magazine for Baby Boomers, and a Columbus Underground Public Access Show.

Our local affiliate of HCwDB Monthly.
Magazineosphere. Wow.
Is this for real or an April fools joke??
I just want to say thanks for putting that girl on the “magazine” cover, haha.
Screenshot saved.
So tell us about the Columbus Underground News Team that thought this up.
I hope there will be photo pages dedicated for each “YP mixer” of the 348 YP groups in Columbus. And I hope the launch party for CUM is a pajama party!!!
Walker, where did you get the cover photo? I think I went to high school with that dude.
Genius. Well done!

Hee hee. I thought about doing something like that for the magazine name, but thought it might be going a little too obscene. ;)
Brent Says: Walker, where did you get the cover photo? I think I went to high school with that dude.
Just a random google image. ;) I was searching for “young professionals” but the results just weren’t amusing enough. So I altered my search to “douchebags” and that seemed to do the trick.
walker, you know i love you, but I really don’t think you should do this. I mean, i wish you the best of luck, but for one, the magazine’s title means something TOTALLY DIFFERENT from what you think it means (and actually kinda gross). It may give people the wrong impression of the magazine. just google it. . . i don’t want to say what it means here.
also, there was probably a reason c-bus magazine is no more, right?
anyway. best of luck, again. and I hope you interview me for your section on young professionals as i am somewhat young and somewhat professional. LOLOLOL :) HAHA
Looks hot. Can’t wait, bra!!
Hot Chicks with Douchebags FTW!!1!
Brent, did you go to High School in Paramus, New Jersey? The Fighting Oompa-Loompas? lol
this is the best thing i have ever read on the internet.
Hilarious. Taking on freelancers?
