    Columbus Mega Weekend – Winter 2012 – Vol. 5

    Hopefully everyone was safe and sound during the snow storm and got to enjoy the pretty snowflakes. It looks like just a few more snow showers may hit on Saturday, but other than those, it should be a clear and cold weekend. Make certain you get to the Wexner Center to see the Annie Leibovitz exhibit before it leaves on Sunday!

    Thursday

    COSI is having a holiday blood drive until 4pm today. Get a $5 discount to Body Worlds! It’s the final weekend to see the CAP UP art projects throughout the city. Holiday Hoopla XXI is wrapping up this weekend at Shadowbox. Last chance to see this year’s Huntington Holiday Train at the Main Library. Free popcorn at the Gateway Film Center tonight with ticket purchase. If you haven’t taken advantage of the Wexner Center membership deal, do so before time runs out!

    Friday

    It’s time for another Family Friday Night at COSI. Groove is at Exile Friday night. See the Psychic Wheels and other bands at Ace of Cups. Support the William H. Thomas Gallery. Final Fridays are Squared at Victory’s Live, go dance! The Harlem Globetrotters are in town at Nationwide Arena. Scarface the Legend is at Skully’s. Jazz Arts Group Allstars presents a night of music like you’ve never heard it before on Friday evening.

    Saturday

    HOOT Family Film Series returns to the Gateway Film Center. It’s the final weekend for Wildlights at the Zoo. Avenue Q is returning in April and you can get tickets for only $25 through December 31st! Read through our Best of 2012 winners. Downtown Dodgeball is starting up again if you want to get registered and beat the winter blues. Go to dinner in the Arena District.

    Sunday

    It’s the final showing of Scrooge at Shadowbox. If you’re returning things at Easton, stop in the 200Columbus Art Gallery, Sunday is the final day. See the Lego exhibit at the Columbus Museum of Art and make sure to stop by the Marvelous Menagerie Lod Mosaic.

    If you are planning your New Year’s Eve, ProMusica has a concert, celebrate with Shadowbox Live, the South Campus Gateway is filled with events, the Park Street Complex has a great evening planned, Short North Stage has a special night planned as well, Hyatt Regency has a big party, and you can dine with many of our finest restaurants, and ring it in at your favorite bars.
