Columbus Mega Weekend – Winter 2012 – Vol. 12

Although this weather may have some feeling otherwise, it is still only February, so on we go with another Winter Mega Weekend.

Thursday

Tonight, meet the people behind The Dick and Jane Project – seating is limited at the Gateway Film Center, so rsvp your spot! Slow Food Columbus is awarding their first Snailblazer award tonight. Green Drinks is hosting a screening of Freedom tonight at Studio 35. CityMusic presents The Klezmatics tonight at the Lincoln Theatre. Available Light Theatre’s political thriller Sleeper continues Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Check out KOBO’s music lineup for the weekend. ShadowboxLive is performing Body Language on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Discuss the future of freeways with the Columbus Futurists. Show off your sweet bike at the Winter Bike Show.

Friday

It’s Family Friday Night at COSI and your admission includes Tornado Alley 3D. Columbus Food Adventures is offering another coffee tour if you’d like to reserve tickets. The Field and Screen Series continues Friday at Saturday at the Wexner Center with Letters from the Big Man. Asher Roth is performing live with DJ Wreckineyez at Skully’s. Ladybird is co-hosting LBD, little black dress event, Friday at Basil Restaurant at 11pm. Celebrate Black History Month at the Ohio Statehouse. Catch the final shows of The Rubenstein Kiss on Friday and Saturday. The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus pairs up with the OSU Men’s Glee Club to present Home and Country at the Lincoln Theatre. Join the SRO Theatre for their production of Annie on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Short North Stage’s presentation of The Marvelous Wonderettes continues Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Blue Jackets take on the Colorado Avalanche at 7pm. The Columbus Symphony presents Symphonic Grandeur on Friday and Saturday.

Saturday

The last Winter Hike takes place at Battelle Darby Creek at 10am. Nite Owl Theatre’s at Studio 35 with Vincent Price as The Last Man on Earth. The Central Ohio Home & Garden Show opens on Saturday. We Are Columbus is having a showcase at Ace of Cups. 400 West Rich is having a Mardi Gras Celebration (21+). Etsy Team Columbus will be there helping you make Vodou Dolls. Attend Rootscamp. Anyone going to Jane’s Addiction at the LC? Support CATCO-Phoenix at their Gala at The Franklin Park Conservatory. O-GEE’s got a party at Barrio. Join The Hills Market for their Oscar Dinner. Students can get a discount ticket for The Marvelous Wonderettes’ matinee performance on Saturday at 2pm. Learn about Maple Syrup at Slate Run Farm. Take in some art shows at CCAD.

Sunday

Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus and OSU Men’s Glee Club have another performance of Home and Country today at the Lincoln Theatre. Sunday at Central presents members of The Canaletto Ensemble and special guests for free at the Columbus Museum of Art at 3pm. Take a tour of the Kelton House Museum & Garden. The C.O. The Drexel is hosting The 15th Annual Unofficial Oscars Red Carpet Bash at 6:30pm with proceeds benefiting AIDS Resource Center of Ohio and Friends of the Drexel.
