Columbus Mega Weekend – Spring 2012 – Vol. 3

Happy Weekend! It’s going to feel like Spring – if you are going to the Clippers’ games, bundle up!

Thursday

It’s opening day for the Columbus Clippers! They’ve got games and specials all weekend long. Join them tonight for a special Bicentennial deal: $20.12 (admission for 2 adults and 2 kids). Clintonville is having a block party tonight. COSI has their final showings of U23D tonight through Saturday. ShadowboxLive’s latest performance Smoke and Mirrors continues tonight, Friday and Saturday. Anyone going to see Titanic in 3D?

Friday

It’s opening night for Raconteur Theatre’s The Big Picture. Head to Hal & Al’s for a free night of new indie rock bands. Pursuit is back if you are looking for a suit. Dane Terry will be performing his new act Sprung at the Short North Stage’s Green Room, Friday and Saturday. Once Upon A Nina’s remaining shows will be on Friday and Saturday. Backtrax is back at Exile on Friday night. The Columbus Zoo has their annual Eggs, Paws and Claws event going on Friday and Saturday. Fresh Friday is happening at Long Street District. First Fridays are back at KDB Easton. DUB101 is happening at Skully’s on Friday night. MARCON is back and goes from Friday through Sunday at the Hyatt Regency Columbus.

Saturday

The Columbus Recreation and Parks Department has lots of Easter Egg Hunts going on Saturday, most start at 10am. CD101 Day’s SideB Concert is Saturday evening. The Hills Market has their Annual Bunny Romp. Heatwave is back at Ace of Cups. Make a Hula-Hoop Rug at Urban Arts Space. It’s Gallery Hop in the Short North. That means it’s time for Quality at Basil! Pop into the new Flora Home & Garden Shop. See the life and works of Edgar Allan Poe in visual form at the opening reception for “Poe” at Image Optical. Go see HUMA modern dance at the Short North Stage’s Green Room on Saturday night.

Sunday

Happy Easter! Celebrate the day at a fantastic brunch, there are plenty happening. It’s the final weekend for the orchid show at Franklin Park Conservatory and it will be open on Easter Sunday. Have a great weekend!
