Columbus Mega Summer Weekend – Vol. 3

This weekend is pretty much all about art! The Riverfront will hosting the Columbus Arts Festival, you can find the Big Local Art Tent, Franklinton has Columbus Local and and a special event at Dinin’ Hall. You can visit several Dine Originals restaurants at the Arts Festival as well. Enjoy your weekend!

Thursday

ShadowboxLive opens their new show tonight, Burlesque de Voyage. The Columbus Civic Theatre opens the Thurber Carnival and has shows through Sunday. The Memorial Tournament Rounds begin today and last through Sunday. Support the CIF+VF tonight at Brothers Drake (if you got tickets!). The Actor’s Theatre continues performances of Robin Hood through Sunday.

Friday

The Columbus Arts Festival opens Friday at 11:30. New this year is the Columbus Local show at 400 West Rich. AND the Big Local Art Tent. The Ohio Statehouse kicks off their Summer  The Summer Sample Sale opens at Chop Chop Gallery and Opal Stackhouse at 7pm and continues through Saturday and Sunday. Pop into CS Gallery next door for ‘Who Shot You?‘ See Cutting Room Floor at ShadowboxLive Friday and Saturday night. The artist reception for Joey Monsoon’s show at Lindsay Gallery is on Friday at 6pm. Tickets for Fête en Blanc go on sale Friday. Bad Movie Nite is back at Studio 35. Or check out First Fridays at Lounge 62. BassJam 4 is at Skully’s. The Skunky Precious Wild West Circus is happening at the Bluestone. COVE|Life starts again at the River Club. The new Scioto Downs will be open for business.

Saturday

Rivet celebrates 5 years on Saturday with Mr. Toast Mini-Art Show. Get Right is also celebrating 5 years with a party at Skully’s. Saturday’s Year of Yay Ride’s focus is art this month. The Short North Yard Sale starts at 9am. Memphis is at the Ohio Theatre through Sunday. Visit your favorite Farmers’ Market. Waterfire Columbus kicks off their season on Saturday. Saturday night, you can see two movies under the stars: The Muppets at Columbus Commons and UP in Gahanna.

Sunday

Reefer Madness is back at ShadowboxLive. The Columbus Arts Festival closes at 6pm. Last day to go to the Origins Game Fair. Get your German Food Fest on at Schmeckfest III. Barley’s Afternoon with the Brewers takes place on Sunday.
