Open Door Art Studio’s new exhibit Outside/In opens on Saturday. Festival Latino is here and lasts through Sunday. Support Paws Across America. The final match of the season for the Ohio Machine is on Saturday. Did you get a ticket for the sold out Bicentennial Bus Tour put on by the Columbus Historical Society? Columbus Landmarks Foundation is offering a bicentennial program to explore the impact of the Scioto River from the campfires and hearths of Franklinton (1797) to the food trucks of Dinin’ Hall (2012), from log cabin architecture and pioneer cemeteries to the vision of the 1908 Columbus Beautiful Plan, from the reality of the river’s rages and the impact of World War II to the vision of the Scioto Mile, from newly-installed public art to stories in sculpture. There is engaging architecture along the way and behind-the-scenes building stories that might surprise you as we explore both sides of the banks of the Scioto and the bridges that made the city possible.
