Sunday is also Artisan Sundays at the North Market! Handcrafted goodies galore :)
In addition to our spring exhibitions opening, the Wex will play host this weekend to filmmaker Jon Shenk, who will screen his documentary, The Island President, Saturday, May 19 at 7 pm and Sunday, May 20 at 2 pm at the Wexner Center for the Arts, 1871 N. High St. Tickets to the screening are $6 for members/students/senior citizens and $8 for the general public.
Shenk will attend both screenings to introduce the film and answer audience questions. The documentary’s protagonist, Mohamed Nasheed, the former president of the Maldives, will be appearing at the Sunday screening via Skype to discuss the country’s political and environmental challenges. (The Maldives are being swallowed by the seas, thanks to global warming; Nasheed was forced to resign in a coup.)
