Columbus Mega Summer Weekend 2010 – Vol. 5

Pride Weekend is here! Events will be happening all weekend long. Pride Festival is mainly happening in Goodale Park, and the parade will be downtown on Saturday at noon. Several other festivals are happening this weekend, including the Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival, Juneteenth Celebration and Worthington Arts Festival. Geekfest, a celebration of Geekdom is happening at Wild Goose Creative until Saturday. Head down to Logan for their Annual Washboard Music Festival on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. On Friday, help Shadowbox Cabaret fight hunger by seeing Best of Shadowbox. Leap of Faith is performing on Friday and Saturday at the Lincoln Theatre. The first Wex Drive-In is happening on Thursday. Party starts at 8pm on the Wexner Center Plaza and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou starts about 9pm. June’s Green Drinks meeting is also on Thursday at Byrne’s Pub. Head to Pattycake Bakery on Saturday for the Rad Dog + Sticky Bun challenge. Get on their Wall of Fame! This Saturday is Cartoon Capers at The Ohio Theatre. Zoofari is also on Saturday, as well as the kick-off of Picnic With the Pops. Sunday is Concrete Jungle’s last day. And if you want to volunteer, help Wayward Seed Farm pull weeds.
