    Columbus Mega Summer Weekend 2010 – Vol. 3

    Welcome Weekend! If you are looking to try out a new place, check out Mouton and Little Palace. They both opened their doors on June 1. Go to Wild Goose Creative on Thursday evening to hear some stories about Columbus at their Speak Easy event. Friday evening, Circus is having a benefit for Alix Reese. The Short North Yard Sale and Gallery Hop will be happening in the Short North on Saturday. Stop by {milk bar} at their new location for their grand re-opening. Also, Lottie da is having their Summer Open House from 10-6 and Creative Arts of Women is having their Sadie Hawkins Show at Junctionview Studios. Head to the Discovery District for this year’s Arts Festival. The festival runs Friday through Sunday. For some theater, check out Bread and Circus Theatre for their show Hay Fever. MadLab also has a show starting this weekend. After hitting up the farmer’s markets on Saturday, you could also go over to Snowville Creamery for a tour of their facilities. Tickets are going on sale for several of the shows at The Ohio State Fair. Shaw’s Inn is in the midst of Lobster Fest if you’d like to have wonderful food in historic Lancaster. Get Right is celebrating their 3rd Anniversary at Skully’s on Saturday. Battle of the Jazz Bands is happening at the Lincoln Theatre. Bristol Bar will also be featuring awesome music on Saturday. On Sunday, go to Wild Goose for the Asparagus Festival or to Columbus Maennerchor for their Sausage and Pretzel Festival. $11 buys you all the sausage you can eat as well as a brezel pretzel! This Sunday is also a First Sunday at the Wexner Center. Gallery admission is free. Have a great weekend!
