Columbus Mega Summer Weekend 2009 - Vol. 8

Another weekend, another round of great events! The North Market will be hosting their annual Food & Ohio Wine Festival on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which exclusively features wines from all across the state. The Columbus Music Co-Op will be showcasing some great local music (such as the Rosehips) all day on Saturday with their 4th Annual “Here Comes Your Weekend Parking Lot Blowout“. Some behind-the-scenes info on that event can be found in this week’s podcast as well. Two “bigg” art events are also taking place this weekend with the grand opening of B.I.G.G. (Breakthrough Ideas in Global Glass) at the OSU Urban Arts Space, as well as the Biggie Smalls show at Junctionview Studios. Two new films are also screening this weekend with Visioneers at Wild Goose Creative tonight and PolyCultures at Studio 35 on Saturday afternoon. And last but not least, the Goodale Park Music Series kicks off this Sunday for a little relaxing outdoor music to finish things off.
