Columbus Mega Summer Weekend – Vol. 9

The weekend is here! There are all kinds of things going on this weekend. Food, music, and festivals!

Thursday

The Heritage Concert Series kicks off their season in Mayme Moore Park. Listen to the music of Conspiracy & Mojoflo at Downtown Live. Go to an Open House in East Franklinton Creative District. The Columbus Children’s Theatre opens their new musical, Legally Blonde. ProMusica is doing a free concert at the Franklin Park Conservatory. Zen Cha Tea Salon is having an open house on Thursday, you need to rsvp here. ShadowboxLive opens their new show tonight, Best of Shadowbox Live. The New Players Theater Festival continues.

Friday

Gah! It’s Friday the 13th. I’m sure your day will be filled with good things. Start at the Food Truck & Cart Festival kicks off at noon on Friday and goes until 10pm. The North Market Food & Ohio Wine Festival opens their preview party on Friday night and continues through Saturday and Sunday. Deadly Medley opens at the Short North Stage on Friday night and has shows through Sunday. Jazzoo has their first show of the season, listen to jazz and enjoy the zoo in the evening. You could take a roadtrip to Cincinnati for the Bunbury Music Festival. Fritz the Nite Owl will be at Studio 35 with the Horror Express. Go on the Mayor’s Twilight Ride, a part of the Bike Columbus Festival and end at Waterfire. The Columbus Art Museum is hosting Game Show 5. Rhythm on the River presents Rhonda Vincent & The Rage at the Scioto Mile.

Saturday

Wholly Craft opens their Supply Closet with events all day. Are you going on the Bicentennial Tour with the Columbus Historical Society? The Franklin County Fair starts on Saturday and goes through the 21st. The Westerville Music and Arts Festival is Saturday and Sunday. Glen Echo Park is celebrating 100 years and the party begins with the unveiling of the Ohio Bird Mural. The Bike Columbus Festival continues on Saturday. Go on a fine dining trip with Year of Yay bicycle ride. It’s Dollar Night at the Crew – watch as they take on Sporting KC while you enjoy dollar drafts and brats. Another Kool Aid Sunset Party is happening Saturday. Enjoy Picnic with the Pops and Dennis DeYoung performing The Music of Styx. Columbus ArtMobile is having a donation drive! The Topiary Park is celebrating 20 years with a party and you can also enjoy PBJ & Jazz. The Clampdown Dance Party celebrates 8 years on Saturday at HoundDog’s Pizza. The Moon Zombies are attacking Grandview Theater. The dream of the 90s is alive at Double Happiness on Saturday at the Sick, Sad World Dance Party. Check out Evil Dead the Musical by Dark Woods Theatre.

Sunday

Go on the Olde Towne East Tour of Homes. Are you taking part in the Columbus Smoke Experiment? Breaking Bad premieres and the Gateway Film Center is having a special party. Lynyrd Skynyrd will play at Columbus Commons on Sunday. Enjoy music in Goodale Park at another edition of the Goodale Park Music Series. Take a tour of the Sunny Meadows Flower Farm. Jogensen Farm’s Third Sunday dinner is this weekend. Take a drive and go antiquing. Have you checked out the new Dodge Pool?
