Columbus is #5 Best City for Renters

Forbes.com published a brand new list of the best and worst cities for renters last week, and once again, Columbus scored well in the rankings in 5th place for best. The study was based on four factors including average rent during the last quarter of 2014, vacancy rates, percentage of income spent on rent, and year-over-year change in rents. An average monthly rent of $788 and an average of 17% of income spent on rent is what placed Columbus is a good spot.

San Francisco topped the list of the worst cities for renters with an average of 40% of income going toward paying an average monthly rental rate of $2,802.
