I often joke that in the present-day hierarchy of social media platforms, Twitter is where people go to whine, Facebook is where people go to rant, and Instagram is where people go to be excited about the future. When looking back at our most-liked Instagram photos of 2015, that joke becomes a bit more aligned with reality. Our rapidly growing (33,200 as of today, with over 3,000 new followers in the past week) Instagram audience picked marriage equality, the new IKEA, the reopening of Jeni’s and other Columbus self-celebration moments as their favorite photos, while the same updates posted on Facebook were more often the place to find people posting anti-LGBT messages, complaints about Polaris traffic, rants about Jeni’s prices, and self-defeating comments about life in Columbus. (sigh)
