Columbus Featured in Bust Magazine

By:

Every month Bust has a writer profile a city in a travel article and this month they feature Columbus. It’s a two page spread with some nice photos and mentions of local businesses, mostly up the High Street Corridor from German Village to Short North, OSU & Clintonville. Some places mentioned: North Market, Jeni’s, Wholly Craft!, Betty’s, Surly Girl, Ohio Roller Girls.

I got the idea while reading this that this is the article a lot of people here would have written, so check it out! (it’s the issue with Elijah Wood on one cover and Flight of the Conchords on the other).

  • more coverage for columbus, sweet. i’ll be sure to check it out.

  • I heard about this a few weeks ago, but couldn’t find anything online to link to. Do they not publish any bit of their articles online? :?

  • The preview that’s on their website allows you page through, but it skips this 2 page spread unfortunately.

I know there was a pdf of a scan floating around amongst Short North businesses, but I didn’t want to do that here, because I’m too much of a copyright-stickler.

  • Anything that links Columbus to Flight of the Conchords makes me happy.

  • Damn, I thought it was a magazine with Columbus boobies…

  • surber17 wrote Anything that links Columbus to Flight of the Conchords makes me happy.

    +1 on that.

  • Just picked up my copy of Bust!

I noticed that Libby, the woman who wrote the article, is actually from Columbus :)

I met her last year (a friend of a friend of a friend) and we chatted it up about crafts and she mentioned she was moving to NY for a year to intern at Bust.

I wonder what the article would be like if a non-Columbusite had written it.

  • Did Libby go to CCAD? There was a really cool Libby who was an RA at my dorm there.
