    Farmers’ Markets have begun to set up around Columbus, and they certainly are welcomed! Go support your local farmers working hard to offer their gorgeous produce to the community.

    If you don’t grow your own food or already support a CSA, Farmers’ Markets give you a chance to get some of the best local food around. Here’s an updated list for you to get the best produce grown here in Columbus and our surrounding areas. Happy Hunting!

    400 West Rich Summer and Winter Farmers Market. Every 2nd and 4th Saturday from 11:00am-2pm. May 10th, May 24th, June 14th, June 28th, July 12th, July 26th, August 9th, August 23rd, September 13th, September 27th, October 11th, October 25th, November 8th, November 22nd, December 13th, December 27th, and so on. “We are farmers, artists, entrepreneurs, friends, and family establishing the first bi-weekly event of its kind in Columbus. The event will simultaneously exist as a musical performance space, art gallery, coffee house, food truck hub, general celebration of the vibrant community, and culture in our beloved city.”

    Athens Farmers’ Market. A bit of a drive, but this one is great. There are so many vendors, you are sure to find whatever you are looking for. Located at 1000 East State Street, in the parking lot of the market on State. The market is open Saturdays Year-round from 9am-12pm and Wednesdays from 9am-12pm, running April through December.     Battelle Plaza Farmers’ Market, 375 N. Front Street, in the Arena District, Thursdays from 11am-1:30pm, July 10 – October 30. Stop over during your lunch hour and pick up fresh produce.

    Bexley Farmers’ Market, Corner of Parkview and Main St., Thursdays from 4-7pm, May 15th – October 16th. Locally grown produce, meats and cheeses, children’s events, food demonstrations. Like them on Facebook. Follow on twitter.

    Bexley Natural Market, 508 North Cassady Avenue in their parking lot. Farmers’ Market, Wednesdays 3pm-7pm, starting May 14th and going through November 26th.

    Blendon Township Farmers’ Market, the market will be held in the fields behind the Blendon Township complex at 6350 S. Hempstead Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Opening day is June 12th and it runs Thursdays through October 9th. From 3:00pm-6:00pm. Flowers and herbs, vegetables and fruits, oil soaps, cottage goods.

    Canal Winchester Farmers Market, Downtown at 36 South High Street, Saturdays from 9am-12pm, May 24th through October 18th (rain or shine). One of central Ohio’s longest running outdoor markets. The market will be closed on August 2nd to accommodate the Canal Winchester Blues & Ribfest, August 30th for the Canal Winchester Labor Day Festival, and October 4th for the Courage-Conquer-Cure 5K race.

    Clintonville Farmers’ Market, on N. High St. between Orchard Lane and West Dunedin Road, Saturdays on High: April 26th – November 22nd from 9:00am-noon. Summer Wednesday Market on High: June 18th – August 20th from 4:00-7:00pm. It’s the 12th season of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market! “2014 marks the 12th season of the Clintonville Farmers’ Market! We promise seasonal, locally-produced, freshly-harvested Ohio food and lots of fun. Dates for our peak-season Wednesday market are June 18 through August 20, 4-7pm. The mission of our community-based market is to support excellent growers and producers while nurturing community appreciation of wholesome local foods in a lively neighborhood setting.     Columbus Public Health Market, July 31st, August 7th and 14th from 10:00am to 1:00pm on the CPH front lawn 240 Parsons Avenue.

    Columbus Winter Farmers Market, 7th year. Now at the Whetstone Community Center at 3923 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Held in the community room and dates will be Saturdays November through March with the dates being: November 1 & 22, 2014, Dec. 6 & 20, 2014, Jan. 3, 17, 31, 2015, Feb. 7 & 21, 2015, March 7 & 21, 2015. 10am-1pm. Pork products, chicken, turkey, & beef, winter vegetables, mushrooms, gourmet chocolates, micro greens, artisan soaps, roast coffees, hot sauces, honey, maple syrup, jams & jellies, herb dips, rubs & seasonings, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and local live entertainment.

    Delaware Farmers’ Market: The Main Street Farmer’s Market (Historic downtown Delaware), 2014 season will begin on Saturday, May 31st and run through Saturday, October 25th, weather permitting. The popular markets will run from 9:30am-12:30pm on Saturdays and from 3:00pm-6:00pm on Wednesdays starting May 24. The sidewalk markets are conducted on the shaded side of Sandusky Street in the heart of Historic Downtown Delaware.

    East Side Farmers Market, First Tuesday of the month, July through October. Noon-3:00pm. In the OSU CarePoint East parking lot at 543 Taylor Avenue. Contact Al Edmonson at 614-253-1880 to participate or for more details.

    Easton Farmers Market, in the Town Square, Thursdays, June 5th through August 28th, 4:00-7:00pm, rain or shine. Customers can leave their farmers market purchases at the Veggie Valet booth while they shop elsewhere at Easton Town Center. You will find herbs, flowers, vegetables, free range chicken and grass fed beef and pork as well as artisanal foods, eco products and exquisite handicrafts.     Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers’ Market, Wednesdays, June 4th–October 1st, 3:30–6:30pm. Browse a wide selection of fruit, vegetables, meat, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, jams, honey and personal care products from Ohio growers and producers. The Market will be held on Conservatory Drive just north of the main building and visible from East Broad Street. Ample free parking available!

    German Village Farm Market, Kight Studio 551, 551 S. Fifth Street, in the parking lot. Saturday, July 5, 9am-noon every Saturday until fall. Farmer John and his partner Clint Beardsley own Heron Creek Farm in Chesterville (near Mt. Gilead) and you will find brown eggs, homemade noodles, fruit preserves, pies, and whatever herbs, vegetables, fruits, flowers, etc. might be ready. Kight Studio is also open during the market. Shop silk purses from vintage neckties, chunky jewelry from recycled objects, monotypes, and paintings.

    Grandview Avenue Farmers Market, an open-air farmers market in its 11th season. Enjoy shopping for farm fresh produce and getting to know your farmer! Make time for a leisurely weekend brunch at nearby gourmet restaurants on Grandview Avenue. Our vendors sell certified locally-grown seasonal produce, artisan baked goods, handmade soaps, annuals, perennials, and more.     Granville Farmers’ Market, Saturdays, May 10th to October 30th; 8:30am to noon; N. Main St. Has been called the “best in Central Ohio.” Located 30 miles east of Columbus. Ten new vendors this year and a total of 61 spaces. Like them on Facebook.

    NEW! Grove City Farmers’ Market, The inaugural Grove City Spring Farmers’ Market will be held this year in Historic Downtown Grove City. Every Saturday May 10th through June 14th from 8am-Noon.     Jefferson Community Farmers Market, Jefferson Community Park, 7494 Clark State Rd. June 21st through September 13th, Every Saturday 9am-12pm. Vendors from all over central Ohio offer a large variety of farm-grown and home made goods, from lettuce, sweet corn, melons and cut flowers to bread, scones, honey and goat cheese.

    Lancaster Farmer’s Market, Lancaster, Every Saturday 8am-12pm, May 3rd-October 25th & Tuesdays May 6th-August 26th. Saturday morning Market will be held at the Government Services Parking Lot, 239 W. Main St, Lancaster, OH. Tuesday evenings, will be held at the Corner of Goslin Rd and E Main Street.     Mount Vernon Farmers’ Market, Public Square, intersection of Main Street and High Street, Every Saturday from 9am to noon. Rain or shine. May through October. Produce, flowers, honey, baked goods, pet snacks, seasonal cooking demos with professional chefs, and more. Find unique, handmade items at the Makers Market across the street in front of City Hall.     New Albany Farmers’ Market, 200 Market Street, Market Street Square, Every Thursday 4-7pm, Summer Season: June 26th – September 4th. At this “Producer-only” market, you will find over thirty vendors with local fruits, vegetables, herbs, breads, poultry, beef, dairy, eggs and gluten free baked goods, and salsas.     New Albany Indoor Farmers Market, at Ministry Center, Church of the Resurrection 6300 Dublin Granville Road. Saturdays, November 8th, Dec. 13, Jan 10, Feb 14, March 21, 9am to noon. 40+ merchants and their beautiful offerings.

    North Market Farmers’ Market, 59 Spruce St., Saturdays 8am, May 11- end of October/early November. The North Market Farmers Market is one of the oldest and largest in Central Ohio, featuring more than 20 farmers offering an array of locally-grown fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, honey and herbs. Every Saturday throughout the growing season, Ohio farmers bring their fresh-picked produce to North Market, where customers are able to purchase directly from the local farms selling the highest-quality products from their fields. What was known as Artisan Sundays will morph into Market Flea. Each Market Flea Sunday will feature up to 35 different vendors outside on the North Market’s Farmers’ Market Pavilion area. Market Flea will be dark on Sunday, August 3 and Sunday, October 5 for Columbus Flea, and will include a variety of up and coming artisans, vintage sellers, jewelry designers, crafters, artists and furniture makers, June 8-October 26.     Pearl Market Downtown Columbus (Summer), Pearl Alley downtown, Every Tuesday & Friday from 10:30am-2 pm from Tuesday May 20 through Friday October 24. Offers lunch items, breads, produce, flowers, popcorn. Musicians performing also.     Pickerington Farmers Market, in Olde Pickerington Village, 89 North Center Street at Town Square Drive, Thursdays from 4pm-7pm, June 5th through September 25th, except July 3rd. The Olde Pickerington Farmers’ Market began its first summer of operations in 2013 with up to 18 vendors offering fresh produce, eggs, meats, home-baked and other cottage food items, and home-made crafts.

    Plain City Farmers Market, Located at the corner of S. Chillicothe and S.R. 161 the “finest little Farmers Market around” is every Thursday from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. starting July 4th through October 2nd. Fresh fruits and veggies, baked and canned goods, order for poultry and eggs, cut flowers. Like them on Facebook.

    Powell Farmers Market, Spring/Summer Market for 2013 runs from May 10th thru October 11th every Saturday from 9:00am-12:00pm. The market is located in the rear parking lot of 50 S. Liberty Street, Powell. There is no market the weekend of the Powell Festival (June 27-28).

    The Ravens’ Farmers Market, June 1st through Oct 26th on Sundays from 1:00-4:00pm.

    Parking in the lot behind Redeemer Lutheran Church The Ravens’ Farmers Market plans to bring fresh food and produce to an area on the East side of Columbus that is considered a food desert.

    Reynoldsburg Farmers’ Market, 1520 Davidson Drive in Huber Park, Every Thursday from 3:30-6:30pm, July 5th through August 28th. Established in 2008, market visitors will find tomatoes, sweet corn, melons, eggplant, asparagus, beans, cabbage, onions, honey, flowers, herbs, and baked goods. Like them on Facebook.

    Sunbury Farmers’ Market, Sunbury Square, Every Saturday from 9am-noon, May 17th through October 18th. Local produce, products, and homegoods. Like them on Facebook, although the website is kept more to date.

    Upper Arlington Farmers’ Market, Earlier start time this year – Every Wednesday from May 14th – September 24th, 3:00-6:00pm. Upper Arlington Senior Center, 1945 Ridgeview Road. Market held rain or shine. Fruits, veggies, herbs, flowers and dairy. Start the season off right by putting an edge on your mower blades, garden tools, knives and scissors. Sharpening services are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month-August 6, September 3 and October 1.

    Uptown Westerville Farmers’ Market, May 7th through October 29th, Wednesdays, from 3:00-6:00 pm, at the corner of N. State and E. Home Streets. The Uptown Westerville Farmers’ Market is a rain or shine market. In-lot and on-street free parking is available near the market and throughout Uptown Westerville.     Worthington Farmers Market, The summer market runs every Saturday from May 3rd thru October 25th, in the streets of Olde Worthington from 8:00am-12:00pm. Established in 1987, it’s one of the largest and most respected markets in Ohio. Over 70 vendors participate in the market which is held in downtown Worthington on the Village Green during Summer, on Saturday mornings from 8am-12pm, May through October. Shop for fresh, Ohio grown seasonal fruits and vegetables interspersed with flowers, plants and homemade foodstuffs that vendors display. Use convenient parking behind the Worthington Inn and the Methodist church just one block south of the intersection of Routes 23 and 161.

    Worthington Indoor Winter Market, Saturdays from November thru April. Every Saturday, 10:00am-1:00pm at the Shoppes at Worthington Place. 7227 N. High St., November 1st to April 25th. You will find locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, locally produced cheeses, jams, jellies, honey and maple syrup, high quality cuts of meat from carefully raised farm animals, eggs from pastured chickens, flowers, herbs, plants, homemade soaps, and foodstuffs.
