On Thursday, February 18th, the Columbus Historical Society will be hosting a cocktail party to celebrate the 198th birthday of the City of Columbus. The event begins at 5:30pm and will be held in the historic T&OC Railroad Station building located at 379 W. Broad Street in Franklinton.
The event includes the first annual Sullivant Gift Awards, named after Franklinton founder Lucas Sullivant. The three awards will honor a person, an organization, and a company who have made significant contributions to the culture of the City of Columbus.
Additionally, ColumbusUnderground.com will be accepting nominations online beginning next week for the first annual Arch Award. This award will go out to an individual who is making current history with their civic outreach efforts.
More info about the event will be available online soon at ColumbusHistory.org.

Should be a GREAT party – The space itself is just fantastic!
Franklinton! Franklinton!
Sounds like fun. Let’s see what I can do to go there….
Question, why are they celebrating Columbus’ 198th Birthday. Why not 200?
