The Grange Insurance Audubon Center, which will be built in the Whittier Peninsula Metro Park, has received another donation — this one from the Audubon organization itself.
She said architects are working on the conceptual design. Ground is scheduled to be broken late this year or early in 2008, with the center opening a year later.
Once completed, the Whittier Peninsula Metro Park will include the GIAC, nature trails, bike paths, boating and fishing areas and boardwalks.
