Another day, another list. Forbes just released their top “Bargain Cities” rankings, and Columbus clocked in at #7 behind rival cities such as Indianapolis and Austin, but ahead of Nashville and Denver. Forbes describes these as cities as places where you can “get the most for your money”. On their measurability index, Columbus scored well in the categories of Cost of Living, Housing Opportunities, and Unemployment Rate.
If you’re thinking about buying a new home in Columbus, and are looking for a bargain that has a lot of potential to become a solid investment over the next few years, then check out our ongoing conversation about which neighborhoods in Columbus are your best bets for real estate investments.

Bargain sounds much better than affordable. For once, thanks Forbes!
I kind of like of like Affordable more than Bargain.
Bargain makes me think of yard sales, outlet malls, and bargain bins (which is a nice name for either outdated merchandise, banged up floor models, or less-than-mint-condition returned items).
Columbus. The “Dollar Tree” of cities. :)
im eating spaghettios with hot dogs in it.. now thats a bargain.
KyleEzell Says: Columbus. The “Dollar Tree†of cities. :)
Did you see that Austin topped the list? ;)
DC’s #3? Whether it’s affordable or bargain, I can’t associate either term with that city.
EVERYTHING MUST GOOOOOOOOO!
perhaps Experience Columbus can get the American Freight guy to do their new convention/visitor promos.
that being said, cost of living is always one of my big “pros” in favor of Columbus.
I feel like “affordable” means you get what you pay for and “bargain” means your getting a deal.
At least we are not “a steal”
Or “price of a VCR”. ;)
