Club 185 has been a German Village institution since 1955, a history that’s been embraced since Randy and Tina Corbin purchased the bar seven years ago. “Our goal when we recreated this was to maintain the heritage and atmosphere, update the fixtures but keep the same comfort level and charisma,” Randy Corbin said.
The original tin ceiling and hardwood floors, coupled with a painting paying homage to the previous owners, remind guests of a half-century of history. The jukebox is legendary too. You can find everything from Hüsker Dü to Lee Morgan, with a lot of Neil Young in between.
Club 185 remains a hot spot for the business lunch and happy hour crowd. After dinner, the average age of patrons gets a little younger, particularly on the weekends.
