great video guys! now if wbns would only get rid of that message board…..
Walker on during the Super Bowl! Nice!
Very very excited to see what comes of this! I remember returning to Columbus 3 years ago in 2007 after living abroad and unexpectedly realizing what an amazing community was developing here. But now I see it everywhere I look. Thank you everyone who has worked so hard to get us to this point, Walker et all. We wouldn’t be here without you.
Well, I was hoping for another Citizen Summit, but this will work just fine. I have a feeling we are going to hear some pretty big anouncements throughout the year. I might just have to skip class for once and attend that first meeting. My interest is peaked.
This is a good idea from 10TV, and I’m glad the talented people there are taking on this story as opposed to their colleagues at other networks. 10TV has always struck me as having a firmer grip on what’s newsworthy, and I’m hopeful that this series of stories can actually make–or impact–the news of the next several years in a positive way.
This is fantastic!
This commercial made me excited to live in Columbus.
This is really really awesome. I think that 10tv is uniquely poised to get real input from the community which is sometimes difficult for government because they have such a far reaching viewership from the Dispatch, 10tv, 610 and their other news outlets. Maybe we’ll see some cool ideas come out of this!
Was that Walker Evans? What do you guys think about those new glasses? Pretty snazzy ,huh?! Haha:)
That was pretty awesome to see Walker and Liz in that commercial. The whole room stopped talking when the commercial came on, which says a lot considering the talkers I hang with.. :)
Kudos to 10TV for making positive storytelling an initiative. The trailer is very well done, and I was stunned when it came on during the Super Bowl. I hope they make large portions of the interviews available online, should be great stuff.
Less Wexners. More Lessners!
I noticed all the downtown shoppers on the street..wonder if they can make downtown look like that by 2015?
The drunk conspiracy theorist in me had some theories about the 2015 project in the moment I saw it. Thankfully, the Super Bowl crew I was hanging with talked me off the ledge.
Anyhow, 2015 visioning seemed like an overlap of the 2012 commission. Seems like they’re tacking another three years onto the project. Thoughts?
Thanks for the props everyone. I’m happy to have been asked to be a part of 10TV’s project.
Jon – I don’t think they’re looking to put together a commission or set up any sort of “plan”. From my understanding, this is more of a reflective media project that will look at the past, present and future of the city. Mostly just talking to folks about what they see happening with the city and sharing that information in multiple ways (online, tv documentary, etc).
Would love to hear the conspiracy theories though! ;) Ha!
@Walker – LOL – My immediate thought went to:
(Coleman + Dispatch + CasinoMove = CooperativePublicRelationsOpp)
Holy crap… the skyline looks beautiful with the North Bank condo building (video at five seconds.) Now if we could just cover up the AEP building a little with another glassy building. Haha
Jon – I can see that connection being a valid assumption, but after talking to some folks at WBNS, I’m sure that it’s not the case. ;) They want to some something a bit reflective and a bit forward-thinking and completely community-driven. I honestly think it’s going to shape up to be a product that anyone who enjoys living in Columbus can be proud of.
Yeah – I don’t doubt the intention. Sober. My drunk inner-cynic can work up quite a conspiracy though. :)
Did anyone watch this? Probably a silly question. I missed it, so what did you think?
