The board of directors for the McCoy Community Center for the Arts in New Albany voted recently to approve a management agreement with the Columbus Association for the Performing Arts (CAPA) to provide management services. CAPA will oversee theatre operations, programming, ticketing and other shared services at the McCoy.
“CAPA’s arts expertise and national reputation will enable the McCoy to provide exceptional services to our patrons while utilizing our financial resources with cost efficiency,” said David Martin, Chair of the McCoy Center Board of Trustees. “Instead of employing one executive director, the McCoy Center will have access to an entire team of specialized experts from a company that has been operating in our community for more than 40 years.”
The McCoy Center is a 786-seat venue which opened in 2008 through a partnership between the New Albany Community Foundation, City of New Albany, Plain Township, and the New Albany-Plain Local School District.
CAPA provides similar back office services for CATCO, the Columbus Symphony, Franklin Park Conservatory, Friends of the Drexel, Inc., and Opera Columbus.
