While Cameron Mitchell Restaurants has focused primarily on new concepts (The Guild House, The Barn, The Avenue, etc) and replicating high-end concepts across the country (Ocean Prime opened in Manhattan last fall), this week’s news showcases a return to an older CMR concept that generally falls at a more affordable price point. The developers of Bridge Park in Dublin announced that a new Cap City Fine Diner & Bar will open there next year.
The Cap City concept was originally launched 20 years ago in 1996, but only ever expanded to two locations — one on Olentangy River Road, and one in Gahanna. The Bridge Park location will join fellow CMR concept The Avenue Steak Tavern, as well as two other previously announced restaurants: The RAM Restaurant & Brewery and 3 Palms Pizzeria.
“We designed Bridge Park to be a mixed-use destination that would provide locals and visitors alike with a wide array of quality dining and retail options,” said Brent Crawford, principal of Crawford Hoying. “To have not one, but two Cameron Mitchell restaurants within Bridge Park is a true testament to our vision for this development. We continue to add top-tier tenants to Bridge Park, and we know Cap City will be a very popular dining destination for many years to come.”
The new Cap City is expected to open in mid-2017, occupying just over 5,600 square feet of space with an additional 1,200 square foot patio.
