Columbus will see the addition of yet another brewery to the region later this year when Brew Brothers opens at the Scioto Downs racino on the far south side. The brewery is part of a $5.9 million “Phase II” expansion for the racetrack-slash-casino, which will also include an outdoor smoking patio without 60 outdoor video lottery terminals, a new bakery and new snack bar.
“Construction of The Brew Brothers microbrewery and restaurant, which will serve as the cornerstone of our Phase II property expansion, reflects our commitment to extend the Carano family’s legacy of providing guests with diverse food and beverage options across our property portfolio,” said Gary Carano, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Eldorado, the parent company of Scioto Downs. “The Brew Brothers concept has proven to be very popular with our guests in Reno and we expect it to further elevate the level of unique amenities that we offer guests at Scioto Downs.”
Brew Brothers will seat 230 guests indoors and outdoors and will feature an entertainment stage as well as a full kitchen menu. The beer menu will include five drafts custom brewed in-house in addition to five more locally crafted beers. The new concept is expected to open fourth quarter 2015.
