First Look: Brassica Sandwiches + Salads

Brassica, the new Mediterranean-influenced sandwich and salad operation from the creators of Northstar Cafe, has officially opened its doors today.

Brassica hides in plain view at 680 North High Street, the occupying the former Betty’s Fine Food and Spirits space. Signage has yet to arrive, but will be installed in the next few weeks.

Though the fast-casual restaurant operates via a Chipotle-style line, to lump it in the same category as Chipotle is misleading. Choose between a pita, salad, or hummus plate, with falafel, chicken shawarma, braised beef brisket, glazed bacon, or a spiced vegetable medley. Bowls can be topped with a bevy of vegetables, house-made sauces, and sides of fries, baba, or (even more) vegetables. Beverages include in-house cold-pressed juice, mint-infused pink lemonade, and a small selection of local draft beers.

Brassica is open from 11 am to 10 pm seven days a week.
