Bill Yerkes is at it again. After a brief hiatus from making traditional Napoli-style pizzas, Yerkes is again ready to put a pie in your face.

Yerkes is subletting Eleni-Christina Bakery in the evenings for his latest pizza enterprise, bonoTOGO (as in “to go”) — just in time for the Gallery Hop on Saturday. Although the place’s address is 641 N. High St., the storefront actually faces Russell Street, about 60 feet west of the main drag.

What a great idea- bakery during the morning/afternoon and pizza joint in the evening. Menus for this place were taped above the mailboxes where I live last night. Selection and prices look great. I hope it works out for them.

Can we please get a real location soon!?!

You gotta give that place a chance! Those tables opened up shortly after you guys left.

That sidewalk charm is part of the experience. They might loose that if they relocate. I think they are in a perfect spot right where they are.

I agree. The other night, my brother and I went, ordered our pizza and tables cleared up right as our food came out.

Why do you guys have to tell me these things.

I’ve still never had it and now I’m gonna weep at muh desk. :(

Oh I know. I don’t mind waiting on a casual weekend night, but it was a school night, already getting late, some of us have to be at work at the crack of dawn (yuck!!), one of us literally hadn’t eaten all day, so it was just a must eat now, can’t wait another minute, kinda thing :)

And I know what you mean about losing it’s charm. Just wish there was a happy median between the two.

Do not weep. Just get through the next 48 hours. We are making a Target run tonight to make the closer apartment eatable in the event that Bono is booked Wednesday night :)

I love the name of that wine.

    Just sounds delish

    …and makes me want dessert.

It’s so sweet and full-bodied, it almost is dessert….

Looks like I am going to have to stop in after work and pick up a few bottles. Any other bargains you found?

  • BrianG wrote Looks like I am going to have to stop in after work and pick up a few bottles. Any other bargains you found?

Well, there was the other bottle we had… for $11.99 I believe. But my sense from the reaction around the table was that it was worth about $11.99, so I’m not sure I’d call it a bargain. I forget the name.

From the infusions thread, I should mention that I’m quite impressed with Tito’s vodka, which they sell at Europia for $17 or so a bottle. Although I fear it as I fear few things in life, the fierce bottle of habañero-infused Tito’s in my freezer is very, very tasty.

  • One things for sure… when I go it’s going to be on a date!!

    Datey date date!

Man, I am so excited for my date. We will both be there, having a date.

    :D

  • I had the #11 – supposedly mr. spicey himself… and either I’ve fried all my tastebuds or other people are wimpier than I thought – very tasty pizza all around and the crepe was fantastic.

I will admit that I’ve crippled myself before with peppers, so I know the dark end of the spicy food trail… the #11 might be too much for some folks, but I didn’t break a sweat- it had a constant heat and great flavor, much better than a lot of evil spicy concoctions I’ve been subject to in the past.

Will also say that I judge service by what I get above and beyond having my food delivered in a timely manner… and they quite possibly give the best service I’ve encountered – although Roland being a part of the group might have had something to do with that.

  • Jeez, I have not been to BONOTOGO for a week, Looking forward to hump day. Yes they do have the best service ever too.

  • What’s the best vegetarian pie there?

  • Manatee wrote What’s the best vegetarian pie there?

Bianca, although I swear on the old menu it was Bianchi, anyway – EVOO, fresh garlic, Kosher salt, fresh spinach, sliced tomatoes, mozz, touch of gorgonzola and parm, then more oil.

I’m trying the Funghi on Wednesday, no doubt!

More veggie options than meat options so it’s pretty easy to get a variety and have more than one veggie favorite :)

oooo, them’s fightin’ words, Slim. I see some vodka shots in your future….

More seriously, it really depends on the reference category. Compared to most Indian food, the Cherry Bomb is fairly tame. Compared to most pizza, it’s pretty friggin’ hot. I flagged it as hot because I figured most people would be expecting a level of heat consistent with pizza, not Indian food, at a pizza place.

  • The staff warned me about it when I even ordered the pizza – but it was really enjoyable for this spicy-eater. I’m concerned for my liver if I try to taste pepper infused vodka though… I’ve done my share of vodka, and done my share of peppers – finding a spicy drink I could enjoy (other than an extra spicy bloody mary, which I enjoy to no end) could only mean trouble.

  • I just hope you’re not lying to me!
